BONUS: It doesn’t get much more trivial than this

To punish Kevin Hall for having the gall to … something, I can’t remember what it was he did, but for sure he did something really bad to merit this kind of response…. Anyway, maybe just to be mean, we made him relisten to Oz 9, write a bunch of trivia questions, then ask them to four people who between them could barely scrape up an answer to the question of what they had for breakfast on that particular day.

It’s nearly 90 minutes of “uhhhhhh…..” and “hang on, I know I know this one,” and “seriously, Kevin, where are you getting these questions?!” and very few answers, but if you like that sort of thing, it’s good for an occasional laugh.

Seriously, thanks to Kevin for enduring, and for Bryan, Corey, and Jess for being amazing, fantastic sports.

BONUS: Diary of a Oz9ivist: Is this a cheese dream?

What happens when the alien aboard your ship gets hungry?

Usually really gross things involving lots of blood and gore and that, but fortunately for us, the grossest thing in this episode is a small critter popping out of an orifice. Which is actually less gross than it sounds. Wait for it.

The ships of Samantha Lyons and the Oz 9 have stumbled into one another in space, and Leet’s had lots of caffeine, and there’s some dancing.

Our thanks to the glorious Beccy Stirrup, creator, writer, and actor on Diary of a Space Archivist for creating this with us!

Please note that Oz 9 will be taking a brief holiday hiatus and we’ll be back in January of 2021. Happy hols to alls!

BONUS: The season 2 crew

If you think Oz 9 looks like chaos from the front, well, it’s just as raggedy and unkempt ’round the back (if slightly less dangerous).

In this bonus episode for our hiatus, our 4 newest cast members, David S. Dear, Sarah Golding, Kevin Hall, and Iri Alexander, gathered to talk about life as a voice actor and the swirling tornado of imminent doom that is existence aboard the Oz 9.

We’ll be back with our first episode of Season Three on July 19, 2020, so until then, Space Monkeys, stay silly.

BONUS: The Annual Assassins Holiday Dinner: It’s South Side Podfest!

NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: In this episode, we hint at something big and horrible that’s just around the corner. We would like to reiterate that we were only kidding, and it’s 100% not our fault.

On December 4, 2019, Oz 9 did a live show at the South Side Podfest at Bar 171 in Chicago, Illinois.

It was the evening of the Annual Assassins Holiday Dinner. Of course, the Albatros and le Bichon Frise attended, with chaperone Cpt. Madeline, who was very upset to learn that no one with any sense at all ate the delicious-smelling food.

Thank you to Nick Mataragas and Memoriam Development for creating this fun event and putting us on the list, thank you to Bar 171 for hosting us, and thank you to those who attended. Lady Trout’s henchmen will be visiting those who didn’t laugh enough, don’t think we didn’t see you.

Special thanks to Susan Franzen and Eric Davis for traveling vast distances – though not as far as us, we’re from outer space, for crying out loud – to take on special assassin duties.

You’ve been listening to:

June Clark Eubanks as the Albatros
Aaron Clark as le Bichon Frise
Introducing Susan Franzen as the Minx and Eric Davis as the Hound dog
Karin Heimdahl as Lady Trout,
Bonnie Brantley as Jessie
Shannon Perry as Olivia and Madeline,
And Richard Nadolny as your Narrator.

Until next time, Space Monkeys, Narrator out.

BONUS: Can you give yourself the finger?

Who doesn’t love a good origin story, amirite?

Here’s hoping you also love a mediocre one.

Even a sort of lousy one that involves a lot of people with fishy sounding names (you’ll get that joke once you’ve heard it).

This is our cameo-laden bonus episode, literally dripping with the talents of some of our favorite folks.
